BROOKLYN, NY (December 10, 2014) – This past Friday, VICE threw a massive rager for 3,000 of our closest friends at the Duggal Greenhouse in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. VICE staged dozens of performances throughout the evening, bringing together musicians as varied as Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson to The Unicorns’ Nick Thorburn to Ghostface Killah and Lil’ Wayne, to perform some of the songs that have defined VICE over its twenty years. Hell, Jonah Hill even covered Drake, backed by our very own Spike Jonze on guitar.

Since YouTube made the festivities possible, we made sure to record the whole thing, and, beginning today, we’ll be putting most of these unique performances on the VICE YouTube channel so you can check them out.

See the first videos, a performance of Le Tigre’s “Deceptacon” featuring Sasha Klovoka and Pussy Riot and Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love,” performed by Jarvis Cocker, on VICE on YouTube: www.youtube.com/user/vice

We’ll be rolling out tons more of the amazing performances on YouTube leading up to the holidays.

Over the next few weeks, VICE will be working with the director Lance Bangs to create a documentary based on the epic evening, which will tell the story of VICE through the songs and artists that have built our soundtrack over the past two decades. The doc will come complete with rehearsals, performance footage and interviews with every musician involved about their memories of both the songs and VICE. You’ll also hear from VICE co-founders Shane Smith and Suroosh Alvi, CCO and longtime VICE-er Eddy Moretti, and various other friends of VICE.

The doc will live exclusively on YouTube, and air in the coming weeks.
